Highly-rated Jamie joined the Club from Dunfermline during the summer of 2007 having opted to leave Scottish football.
Despite Dunfermline's relegation from the Scottish Premier League, the performances of McCunnie were a bright spot and his individual display during the Scottish Cup Final defeat to Celtic persuaded Danny Wilson he was the man for Pools.
His versatility was shown last term as he was able to slot in at both right-back and in the centre of midfield. A tough-tackling, whole-hearted performer, Jamie became a big hit with the Pools fans last season.
