James had a terrific time of things last term as he fired 14 goals, many of them while operating on the right side of midfield.
A huge talent and a player tipped for the top, he is a striker by trade but also looked comfortable on the left or right flank when asked to play there.
After missing the majority of the 2005/06 season through injury, he forced his way back into contention and became a regular for Danny Wilson throughout the promotion season.
He has been named Fans' Young Player of the Year in the last two seasons and was also voted Player of the Year by his team-mates last term.
