The school summer holidays are almost here and the Playing for Success students completed their courses this week.

The students representing this term's five Primary schools and three Secondary Schools have all worked really hard and been a pleasure to work with at the Pools Study Support Centre.

Every pupil that took part has to be commended on their positive attitude, great teamwork and commitment.

Celebration Evenings were held at Victoria Park to mark the achievements of the Y5, Y7 and Y8 students.

To present awards to St Teresa's RC, St Bega's RC and Throston Primary School pupils were Pools stars Gary Liddle and Willie Boland.

Goalkeepers Jan Budtz and Arran Lee-Barrett did the honours for St Hild's, Manor and Brierton students whilst current PfS player of the year, Jamie McCunnie and Martin Young met with the children from Eldon Grove and Stranton Primary Schools.

Thank you to all the players that gave up their time to make it an unforgettable experience for our pupils.
