Earlier this week the Pools Study Support Centre was host to its youngest students to date. A group from the Reception and Year One classes of St Teresa's RC Primary came to Victoria Park with their parents for an afternoon of Numeracy activities.

The visit was part of the family numeracy course being run at the school, which aims to actively involve parents in their child's learning. The course is a partnership between Hartlepool Children's Services and the Adult Education Department and also gives the adults the chance to develop their numeracy skills at their own level.

The children took part in various activities centred on number recognition and early counting skills whilst in the Study Centre. During what was for most of the 5 and 6 year olds their first visit to a Football ground they also got the opportunity to take a good look around Victoria Park whilst completing a number trail with Study Centre staff.

The children enjoyed their afternoon with us and were great fun to work with.

Thank you to the parents for accompanying them and to Jill and Debby for arranging the session.
