Pools Up For The Wilton Cup
The Wilton Cup - the trophy which will be presented to the winners of this weekend's Centenary Tournament - arrived at The Vic this morning.
The impressive Cup, pictured here with Manager Danny Wilson and Steve Glenn, Director of the Wilton Group, will be won by either Sunderland, Huddersfield Town, Hamilton Academical or Pools this weekend.
And Steve Glenn is delighted that his company are the ones to have sponsored the Tournament,
"We have been involved with Hartlepool United for a number of years now, both ourselves and our sister company Universal Coatings.
"Our clients always have a great day out when they come to The Vic and we're looking forward to what should be an enjoyable weekend.
"The Tournament is a totally different concept and it is something I know we are all looking forward to."
Pools' Chief Executive Russ Green echoed these sentiments,
"It is good to have a company of Wilton's stature involved with the Football Club.
"Wilton have just moved to new premises at Port Clarence and hopefully this will be the start of a new era for Wilton.
"It's provided a big boost to the local economy and hopefully we can continue to move forward together.
"The Tournament is something we're all looking forward to and we're delighted to have Wilton on board for the Centenary event."
