Danny Wilson is looking forward to this weekend's visit to Nottingham Forest as Pools look to get back on the winning trail.

The Pools boss played 10 times for Forest during a brief spell at the Club in 1983 and he knows that getting anything from the City Ground will not be easy.

"It's a fantastic club with massive tradition and a great place to go and play a football match," Wilson told Pools World.

"We'll be looking for the same sort of performance that we put in at Leeds in front of a big crowd - but hopefully with a result at the end of it this time!"

Forest began the season a little slowly but have been finding their feet in recent weeks with hammerings of Gillingham and Yeovil Town.

And Wilson says he's not surprised to see Colin Calderwood's side beginning to show why they were many people's favourites for promotion this term.

"I was only a matter of time before they started getting results because they have some terrific players," Wilson commented.

"The expectations levels are high there and that may make it more difficult but we are going there to enjoy the game and come away with a good result."
